However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
Update on Mary Beth
About one month ago we sent out an email saying that we were returning to America because the doctors in Mexico couldn’t figure out what was going on with Mary Beth. (If you didn’t read that email, she had been sick for a while, and then took a turn for the worse the month of August.) Well, after a 5 day stay at Vanderbilit hospital, after several doctors took turns examining her, after CT scans, a lumbar puncture, colonoscopy, and 20-30 vials of blood taken from her for testing, the doctors there couldn’t figure out the problem either! They were extremely thorough, but just weren’t able to identify what she had. They ended up putting her on Flagyl, and she started feeling better on the second day of taking it! Thank you everyone for praying!
Return to Mexico
After allowing Mary Beth to rest for a couple weeks, we decided that it was time to head back to the mission field. This also gave us time to make sure there wouldn’t a relapse. We are hoping and praying that nothing else happens that would make it necessary for us to leave the work here again for a while. We ask that you be praying for that as well.
We are so grateful for you. We couldn’t be here without the other parts of the body of Christ sending us, so thank you!
